For tracks sake, I'm removing my headlight motors and all that linkage and unnecessary weight on the front of the car. I will be using a bracket to hold the headlight lid in place and use KC HiLites 26 series driving lights for what little lighting I would need on track. My question is would I be able to splice the KC lites into my factory harness by using spade connectors and simply plugging them into the factory harness? If I'm correct the three leads are high beam, low beam and ground...sounds almost too easy if that's the case. Anyway let me know prease

All you need is power and ground. The wires to the lights should supply power when the swtich is on. You shouldn't have an issue with this, unless your lights pull too much amperage for the wire to hold, i doubt the lights should pull any more than stock head lights. Easy test it to hook some jumper wires of the same gauge as the headlight circuit and see if they get hot over time, if not then your fine. If they do then you need to run a bigger gauge wire.

I strongly recommend either soldering your connections, or use an oem style connector. Doesn't have to be a Mazda connector. I'm sure you can find a kit with all the correct terminals some wear. Crimp on connectors never last, and the scotch lock connectors are the worst idea ever. You can ways go to a Junk yard and start clipping connectors and leave the pig tails on and just solder your wires into the pig tails.

Short Answer yes that will work, as long as the circuit can support the amps the new headlights will draw. Lights are very simple circuits. 12+---------Light Bulb----------Ground.
