quick Q's

its been a while since i posted but i need some answers.

1) my check engine light lid up last night when i started the car but flickered away. what could this mean?

2) check my clutch fuild and it was empty. i know its not a leak because i check it a couple of months back and it was good. also i recently filled it up with dot 3 and it hasnt gone down since (this was a month ago). does the fluid get used up in the revisor? (FYI when it was empty i was still able to shift)

3) whats need for a basic tranny rebuild for smooth shifting? mines i making alot of noise and does not shift as smooth as i think it can.

thanks

1: probably nothing.

2: weird. Probably nothing as well, keep an eye on it. You probably have a reallly slow leak.

3: Transmission rebuilds cost around $500 if you do the removal and installation. I'd make sure the clutch is working properly first and change the fluid before going that far though.

started my car up this morning and the check engine light did the same thing. is this a sign for anything? it happens every time i start the car now.

as for the clutch fluid, it was full when i went on the trip to north cal from so cal. a couple of weeks later i check the fluids and it was all gone. after refilling a little over a month ago it has not went down at all.

thanks

Go there, click the 2nd gen section, general maintenance, then go to the code checkings for your model year to find out why you have a check engine light.
