when i rev the motor to 8k i see a puff of somke....is that carbon being released or is taht just more oil getting burned cuz of the high RPM? im doing an oilchange today..and im going to change the oil filter, fuel filter and hopefully order new shifter bushings......but that somke......at 7~8K I was wondering wats up...come to think of it i dont think i have any coolant loss either....so i guess its nothing..but my oil is almost on low how detremental is taht for me to drive her like taht....would i notice performance loss at all(boggy or sluggishness) if i take her around town in that condition?

(i completely understand how crutial oil and cooling are for this car already just wondering how harmful it will be to drive her (driving mis dasiy style ) from work and to napa and getting some mobil 1...and back....

NO im not going to ask what oil to put in the car as i will jsut place in what the FSM says to place for my temperature ranges....lol gosh those OIL BATTLES......

 

low oil = higher wear on seals. Which means cutting the life of the engine even more quickly.

 

BLEG...i am going to place some mobil in the car...but i thought about the purple.....royal style RETed says its rubbish for the price...so then again i guess i wont...im just going to do an oil change RIGHT after work...so i mean ima hit up mobile one...and change those other things but anyone know anything about the smoke that puffs out at 7~8k? its ONLY when i rev it taht high....i dont really see any harm just wanna know wat it is...

 

what does it smell like?

you could just be blowing build up and deposits out your exhaust.

 

im pretty positive it wasnt coolant smell....so i mean i have a hollow cat too...could taht be a problem? should i buy a cat to make it run better? well i dunno how bad it could be on the ECU would the hollow cat throw it off?
