quick power steering question

quick power steering question

On the lines that go from the pump to the rack, are there suppose to be copper washers? I'm reassembling my car but if there were washers, which it seems there maybe should have been, they are now long gone...

I don't remember any crush washers when I disassembled mine- I think everything was the MS-type fittings.
