Quick hypothetical Q about the air pump, 5/6 ports
Just wondering something, purely hypothetical. Say one removed the air pump to save weight and parasitic drag (after installing a header). If one were to lock the 5/6th ports open full-time, how much low-end power would be lost?
I ask, because without the thermal reactor needing a full-time air supply, it seems rather inefficient to have the air pump just to move a couple actuators.

As others have said, keep the air pump. It runs both the VDI and aux ports. Wiring up the aux ports open all the time would without question negate the benefits of removing the air pump by many times. Wiring the VDI into the high RPM position would be even worse.
