Talking Quick Help on Boost Gauge "T" & Wiring locations...

... I just want to check before I screw something up.

When I install my Boost Gauge, do I "T" into the line coming off of the Pressure Sensor? Or is there another line?

The FAQ for an A'PEXi boost gauge (at http://fc3s.org/boost.html) shows the the line going into something other than the Pressure Sensor - what is this plugging into?

Also I have the electrical Defi-Link gauge, where are the wires located that I splice into for the Control Unit. The instructions weren't specific to any particular car and I don't know jack about wiring - but I have a workshop manual so maybe someone could tell me where to look.

Thanks in advance, guys!

yes, from the input i got you just T it into the boost pressure sensor line...but try to do this closer to the block. there is a pill in the line closer to the boost sensor box...so T into the line closer to the engine block before this...

Talking Thanks, Erik...

... so it sounds like I don't "T" into the line that is shown in the above picture, because that blue line isn't running into the Pressure Sensor, right?

Thanks for the pic, Erik. Your pic helps a lot with the labeling and the larger view of the engine bay.

BTW, I have an electrical Boost Gauge (Defi-Link), anyone happen to know which wires I have to splice into and >where< behind the dash can I find the wires?

I bought the Defi's @ rx7store.net for ~$220 for the Boost Gauge and Controller Unit. Has all the data recording/peak playback goodies. It's the cheapest I have seen them for.

When installing a boost gauge you can T into any vacuum source downstream of the throttles. The MAP sensor line's probably the easiest but it doesn't matter.
I havent seen one but I'd guess the gauge needs switched power, earth and illumination? Search for power with a test light, earth's easy and I found the easiest place to get a light feed was from the cigarette lighter.
