Quick Harness Question

Will the driver side harness from an 88 work if i install a S5 turbo motor? I'm going to use a microtech standalone. I'm also blocking off all emissions as well as the MOP. I know the alternator connector is different but i have both a s4 and s5 alternator. What other issues will i run into? Thanks guys.

Let me get this straight... Your putting an S5 Motor in an S4? And running Microtech?

There shouldnt be too many adapting problems. The Temperature sender is a different plug, so that will need to be adapted. Other then that, there shouldnt be any real issues.

You are planning to do what i've already did except I used a s5 Turbo setup on my 88 GXL. A simular question was asked recently In this thread. https://www.rx7club.com//showthread....hreadid=270535 From seeing this, you will be able to compare yourself on what Is needed for the change over.

As for additional options you lose when you rid the Engine Harness? You will have to fillet the Windsheild Wiper Harness, Cruise Control aswell as the Coolant Sender wire (Yellow w/ White Stripe) out of the former crunchy Harness.

Let me know If you have any other questions.

I'm planning on using the entire S5 motor and turbo. Setup. I was the guy that asked the same type of question on the other post. I guess the question i really am asking is weither the motor has anything to do with the driver side harness. Is the oil pressure sender the same? My understanding is the water temp sender is the same. Is that correct. Sorry if any of my posts become annoying i'm just trying to figure out any complexaties i may run accross. From start to finish my car cant be out more than a week or so. I am just trying to make sure i have everything (including information)needed. Thank you for your patience and all your great input.
