quick fuel type question

just wondering what brand and octane rating of gas you guys put in your 7. i'm sure this has been talked about a billion times, but i searched and couldt find anything. in my first gens, i know its best to use 87. runs better on the higher octane, but no need for the stuff because with the 12A, you wont really see any improvement. turbocharged piston cars, premium of 92 or higher is reccomended to fight knock and whatnot, blah blah blah piston engines. but what about the turboII? i'm picking up a 10th AE this week or next depending on when the kid will be home from college to take my money and i want to know the best gas to run. i'm well versed with the rx-7 and i know all other maitenance parameters but i'm fairly new to the turbo II and this is one area that i will need to learn. as the owner's manual states 87 is reccomended, what do you guys reccomend? the only mods i plan for the car are a turbo back RB exhaust, a k/n, fcd(must have with the exhaust), and a lot of overall maitenance to get her purring like a kitten weilding a chainsaw. only the best for my 7's.

premium sounds like the way to go. cost sucks but my 92 camry requires premium and i drive that to work every day so it'll really be no difference in price...well, maybe because the camry gets 23mpg. either way i'm not afraid to throw some extra money into the tank so that the car will be performing to its top potential.

Mazda says 87 octane for all cars.

For NAs, it's always 87 unless you have done something crazy (seriously advanced the timing).

For stock TIIs, it's 87.

For modded TIIs that need the detonation resistance, premium.
