I have a 88 GTU that misses on cold start-up.

Start car it runs up to about 1500 rms, then drops to 1000. It doesn't spit and sputter, just a steady miss. Take of down the road and anything above 2k rpm and it misses for about 3-4 minutes then it's solid through the rpm range.

I just installed new plugs/wires and it made no difference.

I'm changing the fuel filter next, but I'd think the filter would affect high rpm?

Ideas?

 

my car has a little miss if it has been sitting overnight...

I normally will start my car in the morning hit the gas if it misses I hold it at abotu 2K for abotu 30 seconds while I put my blet on, turn heat on, turn on the stero then I rev a couple times, miss is gone I leave
