where can i get a small sheet of carbon fiber? and whats the best way to cut it to shape that wont mess up the edges so tis still cleann looking?

 

I don't know where to buy a sheet but its easy to lay up if your looking for something flat. Get a piece of glass, some mold release wax and the best resin is known as 'surfboard resin' because it has UV protectant in it. You can buy CF by the yard for about $65/yd(50inches wide). Lay the fabric on the glass and saturate it with resin (follow activation instructions) and let it cure. You can then build some thickness with regular f-glass.
I usually cut the cured stuff with a band saw and then file the edges smooth with a bastard file.
No, this isn't the pre-preg autoclave stuff but it still is strong and looks cool

 

ebay... all over the place on ebay, you can get it in just the fabric or clear coated or clear coated with a sticky backing
