Questions from a turbo noob

I am determined NOT to damage an engine due to bad tuning or being lean so I want to cover all my bases before I even turn it over.

I am gonna be running with a boost and A/F gauge from the start, and I know I will need more fuel when I do exhaust and intake.
My question is, will a short 3in TID and a slightly free exhaust send me past 8.5psi (for S5 I think) fuel cut? I just need to know if I should get the fueal cut defenser thing straight away?

Thanks folks

S5 TII BTW

I have a stock TID and 2.5" DP into a 2.5" piping into and HKS dragger style....I was hitting 9.5 PSI all the time......I wasn't leaning out becuase of my S-AFC which was untuned and running pig rich......in other words....I think it will....

Probably - Mine went to 10 PSI in 3rd, and 11 PSI in 4th in completely stock trim on a cool morning.

(I love cool mornings..)
