Questions on S4 engine in FB..

Ok, so my friend may be buying a 84 GSL-SE, with a blown coolant seal. We're going to look at it tomorrow. Anyway, Im getting a 87 GXL as a parts car, with a good running engine. I just wanted to know if there is anything abnormal or special about swapping the engines that I will need to know?? Will the entire FC wiring harness be needed?? IM assuming the FC ECU will need to be used, but anything else I will need to look out for? I am using the entire FC engine, intake manifolds, everything. Thanks..

Thought the motor mounts on the engines were radically different, between a S3 and S4

The motor mounts and the front cover are different and I think the oil pan too.

Whatever you do, reinforce your ground wires and add some.

I have a 13bt in my 84 gs and I don't know if some grounds were missing or what, but when I added some, it made a huge difference.

Search for my latest posts, I posted some pics earlier this week on grounding stuff.
