Questions: Koyo Radiator and Greddy turbo, etc

First about the Koyo Radiators. What happens if I buy the wrong one. For example, I have a S4 then I buy a S5. Is there anyway they can fit?
Moving onto turbos. If I buy a GReddy turbo, will it be compatible to HKS wastegate or tial? And so on with other turbos. Also, about the full RB exhaust does it come with the downpipe and presilencer or just catback (RX7store.net)? I know I should be asking in the GB section, but I posted there and didn't get any responses, so anyone who knows the answers to these questions wil be appreciated.

I believe you can make either of the rads "fit", but why would you buy the wrong one? do you have good deal on a used one or something?

as far as turbo's and wastegates go, as long as you have the manifold that matches up to each ( ie. if your manifold has a t4 flange, get a turbo with a t4 flange, durr - hehe) you'll be fine

exhaust, I dunno never bought one, I always go custom

The Greddy Turbo kit won't allow you to run another type of wastegate unless you have the manifold modified (ie a new flange welded to the wastegate line) but if you just buy a greddy turbo with a T4 flange, you could run a HKS T4 manifold and an HKS WG. The thing about greddy turbos is that some are not rebuildable, so just be conscious of that when you buy.

hmmm thanks. another question just to be sure. The Koyo Radiators should fit the JSpec ones as long as they are S4 or S5? Also the NA Koyo Radiators are compatible with Turbo's and vice versa? Another thing I look into is that the parts number for the oil filter are the same? Just to be safe are there different part numbers with the swapped engines? sorry for noob questions, tahnks.

I haven't modified this manifold and I believe you can put a different wastegate on that biotch.............this is a greddy manifold from a TD-06 kit, turbo is a T04-S wastegate is....????

I'll try to rephrase. Are there different part number from USDM and JDM engines(spark plug, fuel filter). If not, then it's cool. Thanks for looking into this thread, classsicauto. sorry for my poor English

they may have different actual numbers...but the parts would be the same....

meaning I could swap plugs between a Jsepc and USspec motor....even though mazda might list them as being different parts purely from a part number standpoint.

Most after market turbos do not have internal wastegates so asking if your turbo will allow a certain wastegate is like asking if your spark plugs will clear your lug nuts.

Your exhaust manifold is what usually dictates your wastegate since there are different bolt patterns and placements.

As for the Rb system. If it's "Catback" Then it's everything after the cat. Y-pipe and mufflers.

Koyos. I don't know about S4 vs S5 but NA to turbo does not matter at all.

Jspec turbo engines are VERY similar to USDM turbo engines. small things like some emissions equipment are exempt on Jspecs. Everything like rotors/waterpump/fuel filter/spark plugs/oil filters are the same.

This means that the exhuast are the same as well. Cat's may be different but bolt patters and turbo placement are idientical.
