Questions on Cat/02 replacement?
I just ordered the Bönez 2.5" SuperFlo System from RP to replace my leaking cats and I just bought a new O2 sensor because mine was shot. When I am under there replacing this stuff is their anything I should be watching out for as far as any problematic areas and is there anything else that I should do/check while I'm down there. I just put a new catback system on last summer, so the bolts on that side should be easy enough to deal with. But are the bolts on the stock header side going to be a pain in the butt? If anyone has done this recently and could point out any info would be helpful. Also, I haven't looked under their recently and I know there can be issues some times with the air hose that activates the 5th and 6th ports. With the Bonez system, I am going to have to futz around with that air hose. I can't remember where this air hose connects to. Any help would be appreciated, still fairly new to this game. Sorry the post is so long.

Did mine on TII a few months ago. Everything fit perfectly. Just cut air supply tube and connected with rubber hose supplied. My nuts/bolts came off without any problems, but the car has never been in the rain. Spray WD40 or the like and let penetrate.
Good luck.
Good luck.

You will need a pipe cutter to cut the flange off the bottom of the air pipe going to the cat. RP provides a hitemp rubber hose to connect it to their exhaust. I found that once that rubber hose is slipped on , it really *DOESN'T* want to come off again!
It's a tight fit between the exhaust pipe and chassis crossmember below the manifold ('vert). I had to loosen the catback to get enough room to wiggle the front of the RP piece into place. I was amazed at how easily all the bolts came loose and everything came out tho. Maybe this was an unusual case.

Thanks
Thanks for the info, I was diagnosing my idle problems when we determined that my O2 sensor was shot, and the guy that I was working on the car with said this coudl be causing my idle problems. He also said that since my cats are leaking this could have caused my O2 sensor to burn out. So I'm hoping that by replacing the cats and the O2 sensor my jumpy idle problems may finally be solved. But for some reason I don't it, because everything esle I fix/replace hasn't helped, so this probably won't either, but I'm trying to stay positive. Anyway thanks for the info, if anyone has anything else to add fell free, thanks again.
