Question Questions About a Turbo Conversion (plz help)

I just recent purchased my first RX-7

I bought a 87 non turbo from my friend and I was planning on buying a new egine (13B TII). I've looked on the web everywhere and I can't find out if its possible to swap a turbo engine into a non turbo model, or if it is possible does it require alot of customization? From what I have seen it seems like like you can only upgrade turbo models.

If anyone has any information on if this is possible please help me out. Or direct me to a site where I can get some info on this. Thanks

Thanks for the help.

It kinda sucks to find out that you just bought a car for a specific reason and can't even do what you wanted to do. Oh well serves me right for not doing more research. From that website it sounds pretty much impossible, since im not that proficient with car mechanics. I'll have to find a TII to buy I guess and somehow get rid of this one.

Its going to be a project. Make sure you have money, time, and a place where to do the swap at. Thats if your going to be doing it yourself. But it is possible. Just make sure you do your homework on all the things you need to complete the swap. And also a bit of advise add up the cost of the parts you'll need, the headaches and the time to finish the swap and then way that against the cost of a turbo II. I know turbo IIs are hard to find, but I think its worth the wait.

some of the parts needed :
TII Motor complete
i.e manifolds,turbo,injectors,intercooler.....
Turbo wiring harness
TID
Turbo Hood or get a front mount
Turbo boost sensor (strut tower)
selenoid resistor
Turbo Airflow meter
Turbo ECU
Turbo acc cable

Thanks gergrx7

That website has a bit more information. It seems I can do the conversion but it will end up costing me around 2.5-3.5k which is exactly what I expected.
