I live in london ontario canada and it gets pretty cold here like -20'C and this is the first year i have had a car to store in the winter i was just wondering what I should do to the car over the winter right now it is just inside

Wash (interior and exterior) and wax the car.
Put 50 lbs in your tires (to prevent flat spots).
Put the car on jackstands, just enough to unload the suspension a bit (you don't want it to be exented for the whole winter).
Change the coolant.
Add fuel storage additive to the fuel tank and full the tank.
Change the oil.
Disconnect the fuel pump relay connector (EGI fuse) while the engine is running to eliminate the pressure.
Put some fogging oil in the spark plugs holes, crank the engine by hand and replace the plugs.
Fill all the holes (intake and exhaust).
Keep your windows opened of 1 cm.
Leave the shifter in neutral and don't engage the hand brake.
Remove the batterie and keep it insinde.

That's what I'm gonna do tomorrow.

way not just take out the coolant so the seals dont have an fluid sitting on them

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's actually a good thing. Sand will help reducing the humidity from what I've heard.

I agree with not taking out the coolant but I don't with not changing it.
I think it should be changed to be sure nothing will freeze at - 20 C. In my area it is easily going to be - 30 C sometimes, so I'll change the coolant and let the engine runs for a while after.
