Question Questions about power gain in a NA

just wondering if any of you know about how much power you can expect to gain from simple mods to a stock NA s.4 rx-7. like how much from zorst, chip, porting etc.

cheers

dont worry about anything but the zorst. A properly tuned zorst is key in rotary performance. A good zorst kit should give you a gain of 6,000-10,000 rwhp. Also be sure to grease your muffler bearings, and check your tire gaskets.

I'm not familiar with the situation on S5 engines because I have read that their manifolds suck for the high flowing nature of ported rotaries.

Nitrous Oxide is a fluid, and a form of forced induction.

Thus, Nitrous oxide could easily be called boost fluid, and correctly, adding nitrous to a rotary will result in a power gain.

Bet you didn't think your jackass answer would be correct?

Chalk one up for scathcart ! I think 88IntegraLS hit it on the head there...very good estimates. By the way that'd be 219fwhp (approx 179rwhp...which is great). Don't forget though...power isn't the only thing that makes a car fast, it's just the easy way out (kinda like a turbo...here comes the flames).

I'm hitting 180 RWHP with an S5 motor/Intake with the stock ECU/S-AFC.

Aftermarket ECU combined with a well ported intake has been know to hit 200 RWHP.

get rid of anything thats not of vital use. extra seats, get a lighter hood, lighter wheels, all that b.s. i think i read somewhere that every 100lbs takes .10 seconds off your 1/4th time.. or seomwhere along those lines
