questions about my sitting engine

ok..i have a short block 13b engine that has great compression (or atleast did when i got it)

its been sitting in my garage since like june or july, .....ive been waiting to get it into my car.....(buying parts etc etc...) ive put MMO into the ports on several occasions, and im just wondering if this engine will still be good in a few months?

its hard when you have to buy a shitload of parts, and you dont know a whole lot about the install process....my buddy has been helping me, but is kinda doing his own thing now, so hes not gonna be AS available as before.....

do you think this engine will still be good?

I would keep it lubed with MMO, also make sure all your open ports are well covered. It should be just fine. Just lube it up fairly well before your initial start.

As long as it didn't get wet or humid in there it probably didn't rust. And since you put oil in there that shoudl help. Have you rotated it at all? Maybe a couple of turns every now and then to keep the **** from sticking.

yeah......i put MMO into the motor and turned it each time i put more in...i havent put any into the engine in a month or so...its in the gargage so its not gonna rust in there....the climate is good and cold now , so i dont think rust will accumulate....i was just kinda scared to put too much lub in as i wasnt sure if too much could be bad,....ill probally give it a turn in a few days...maybe drizzle just a bit more mmo in there....

last time i turned it...the compression was causing the mmo to shoot across the garage, so that made me feel good....
anyways....GOD I WANT MY CAR BACK....i have just about all the parts i need......
minus the exhaust
