questions about my rebuild

ok this is the second time I rebuild this motor, first time I pinched a seal. Now this time it has some of the same simptoms but not completely... I had a video of the car idling but I have to upload it..when I fill the radiator up with water completely, it spits out some when Im cranking the car... then once its cranked the water stays fine. the water level rises then falls slightly.. which I thought it was weird..
second my oil pressure idles at 30 and raises to about 50 almost 60(stock guage) when reved higher.. now the first time that I rebuilt the motor, the front had 120 compression and rear had 60, now it has 80-90 in the front and rear. I remember that on the stock guage the first rebuild held 30+ at idle and jumped to 60 with the oil pressure.. also when I drive the car now it doesnt feel quick at all when it starts to boost. like the car sputters when it hits boost.... the timing is not dead on but should be close, I put the cas on the mark and the crank on mark. And this time its a PITA to start, when the verts original motor was rebuild it had none of the symptoms that are present in this motor... I doub it can even hold an idle less than 1k.. I would appreciate any comments...

Sounds like you might need to find someone who actually knows what they're doing and let them have a look at it. No offense, but if you didnt get it right the first time, and it isn't right this time, odds are you're going to do nothing but make it worse, or get pissed off and give up on the project. I hate to see this sort of thing happen, so if you aren't up to the task (hey, not everyone can be a mechanic) then step aside and let someone do the work who is.

Just my 0.02.

Actually, I was just asking for some input. I never said I wasnt gunna have it looked at. And besides you make it seem like its the most complicated procedure...
its not... infact its pretty str8 forward. you just got to pay attention to detail and take your time making sure everything is withing spec and measuring the clearences and all that... I wasnt asking a stupid question either, its not like was asking how to "boost and n/a" or "what will it take to beat this car". Simple, I stated an observation and expected some helpfull comments, based on either just plain knowledge or first hand experience or both... you wrote a whole paragragh and none of it was informational at all.. Thanks...

Nonetheless, if it is so simple and easy and you know so much about it, why do you need to ask how to make it right?

To answer your question, if there is no water on the sparkplugs after sitting overnight and cranking 2 or 3 turns, then your water seals are probably okay.

As for oil pressure, anything at or above 25 at idle and 40 the rest of the time is pretty much fine...gauges, even aftermarket, can be inaccurate to some degree. The only thing I trust for testing and troubleshooting purposes is a mechanical gauge.
