questions about my new wideband

first of all its the one from injected performance hes(marty) selling on the forum, the LC-1 cable with the XD-1 guage! when i did the free air callibration today it didnt heat up like i thought it should of. shouldnt it heat to the point of burning my hand? also shouldnt it heat up FAST, i let it sit there for a minute or so and it didnt even get warm.do i not have the heater ground in a good enough spot or maybe the 12volt doesnt have a strong enough current. could this be my problem?
