Question

I was thinking about rebuilding my engine and putting a turbo on it b/c its an n/a but theres a lot of stuuf i have to do. So i started thinking i might be better off getting my car fixed(the keyway came out where the main pulley is) and painting it and selling it. Then just try and get a TurboII. I am trying to decide what to do, what would anyone insist on my getting and about how much would i be able to get a turboII for, even if it has a blown engine??

sell your car and get a TII. Look around for a deal and you might be able to find a TII with a blown motor that needs some other work as well for under 1k. Send the engine to rotary ressurection and viola. You have your car. I would not paint your car though, it will sell better if you let the buyer paint it cause then he/she can have it any color! Might just want to "prep" it for paint and sell it like that.

Its a good thing your gonna sell it instead of doing the conversion...its alot of work.So yeah get a TII.If you get lucky you can find a TII as low as 500 bucks like someone did on the other forum and it didn't have a blown motor either. For a decent one about $1,000 - $4,000.Good luck and happy hunting.Welcome to the boards.Check out Nopistons.com forums.

I would just fix your car and sell it to get a TII. Much less work involved that way. I just got my TII for 2,000, and it's in much better shape then you would think. Lots of little things that need fixing, but definately worth it so far! ::knocks on wood ::
