Question for rx-7 guru's

i have owned my car for 3 years now, and i still haven't figured what model it is. I am hoping there is someone out there who can help me out. It's a white 87 na with the 4 lug wheels. it HAS a power sunroof, electric power mirrors, and the factory alarm. it does NOT have power steering or cruise control. i had thought it was the base SE model but every one i have seen does not have the sunroof, electric mirrors or the factory alarm. any suggestions would be helpful.

yeah i had already looked at that and all it did was confuse me more. for example, it says the alarm only came on the GXL and Turbo models, but it also says that the GXL did not come with the 14" wheels. none of it matched perfectly with my car.

The alarm could be added by any dealer.

You don't have power windows so you don't have a GXL or Turbo

You don't have 5 lug wheels so you don't have a Sport, GTU or GXL

You have a sunroof so you don't have either a 86 or 87 Base model

So depending on production date (which you still have not posted) you have either a Luxury, or a SE.

4-lug = base model, period.
Unless someone was crazy enough to retrofit the 4-lug hubs to a higher model.

well remember Ted, There was the Base model with the 4 lug wheels, and there was the Luxury/SE (GX in Canada) model with 4 lug wheels.

Two models with 4 lugs wheels in 86 through 87.5.

I actually saw a true base the other day with steel 4 lug wheels and no sunroof. The Luxury/ SE was a step up from that.

well in all honesty, I consider any S4 4 lug and the S5 GTU to be the base strippy models that I wouldn't want anyway.

if you look closely, you have a luxury.... the give-away is the power electric mirrors.. that wasnt an option for the base model or the SE models...... so according to those charts, and the options you posted.... id say im 90% sure its a luxury model
