Do you need to know an exact measurement or an approx, dimension?

hmm... how long is it on a 90' ... it seems a lot longer then 1.2 cm. It looks to be over an inch (2.54cm).

My plan is to remove the actuators completely and replace them with electric solenoids. This is so i can mess around with things that are going to effect the operation of the actuators. Yes, i know thers ways to use the air pump and all, but i could be tampering with that too.

Solenoids will not hold up to the exhaust heat. It's been tried before. But if you are going to do it, don't worry about the throw too much. Just get a solenoid good for 3 CM, and use a spring to take up the slack. Much less stress on the solenoid if it's done that way. Remember: the '90 atuators push up, not pull in to actuate the ports.

What kind of electric actuator are you thinking??? Most electric actuators like tape head or door lock motors can't stand a heavy on period, like driving would entail.

The other draw back for electric actuators is the life cycle. A common OEM door lock actuator has a about a 15000 cycle life. That’s about 4 times a day for 10 years... yet your gonna hit 3800 RPM how many times a day??? Say you drive 10 miles and back in med traffic, that would be easy 30 or 40 times.

That’s about 500 miles before the actuator dies.

I wasent thinking door latch solenoid ever. take a look at these.
you can get them with a continuous duty cycle.

Intresting design, but requires massive heat sinks, for example the 25mm push was requiring a 2"x2"x3.2mm heat sink, so your gonna need some way too sheild and cool them in the engine compartment. It appears they are rating them at 70F or slightly less.
