Question on gasket from waterpump to engine

Hey, is it a good idea to use liquid gasket from the waterpump housing to engine, or should i use a real mazda dealership part?

I usualy use a combination of the gasket AND a finger thin coating of rtv on each side for very important connnections like that one.

But, if you use a quality sealant, it should be enough. I like the ultra black from permatex, sold at autozones. That stuff withstands fairly high heat, and is strong as nails when dry.

well, i used a rather large swiss army knife and the surface feels really smooth on both pump and housing..so just make my own gasket w/ rtv sealant
