I suggest you go to a meet and hear them in person. Sound clips have too many variables (volumn, camera quality, sound quality, sound car, speakers, distance from car, wind).

type-zero...i've got dual borlas and it sounds great...plus in my opinion they look better, more balanced to have one on each side as opposed to just hangin on one side, especially if u have the stock rear bumper that has cutouts for duals...looks kinda funky when one of the cutouts is just chillin

Go for a header of some sort, you'll want a presilencer or one of those borla XR-1 mufflers (to use as a presilencer), then I'd go for a RB cat back.

The RB mufflers are quality, quiet, and have nice 3" tips, and it's got a dual muffler design.

I've got the full RB system on my NA, and I love it.

James

PS: This is if you don't have to worry about emissions, in place of a silencer or muffler throw in a cat or two, and you should be good.

A little louder, but not ricey. Sounds smooth, once you get higher into the powerband it opens up and everyone will know it's a rotary.

i ran into the same problem last oct. i ended up buying a borla cat. back system ($950 cdn.) and it runs, sounds and performs great. it was a 12hp gain, and its not overly loud. its 3 in. all the way back, and i havn't had any regrets so far. its an entirly stainless system, and is covered by an unconditional 1,000,000 warantee. look into it.

The inlet is 2.5" to 2" piping as listed on their site and multiple reviews. You sure it wasn't custom?

Er, the streetable header and the collected header are the same thing.

Its header and presilencer. It will raise the exhaust note, but it depends on yoru cat-back. If you use a Borla, Racing Beat, or 50MM HKS exhaust it'll be quiet. If you use any N1 setup or anything with rear mufflers that don't really muffel, it'll be very loud.

If the cat-back looks like it'll be loud, it'd be loud.

The presilencer quiets it down quite a bit, as a cat would.

Some people don't like RB though, and have had better power gains with custom exhausts.

Kahren has made more power with his custom manifold, for instance...

Personally, I'm a fan of RB's products. All directly bolt on, and it is quality stuff. But it is EXPENSIVE.
