Question question about TPS and cold start???

Ok, some times when I start the car (when its cold) the cold start doesn't turn on, should I just remove it or can I fix it? About the TPS do you check it when the car is running or with the ignition just on?

thanks

sorry for the newb question

Make sure you dont have it in gear when you turn the car on, it stops the cold start.

As for checking the TPS, turn the car on, but dont start it.

The accelerated warmup only happens if the water temp is above approx 60*.
