Name this part!!!

What is this part used for? I recently bought a use s4 motor, and I'm collecting s4 sensors to prepare for the install. But I don't know what this is.

You'll need that because s4 injectors are low impedance

So its for the injectors. That's funny that the ecu just doesn't read the low impedance injectors. LOL

Does anyone know anything about this site? The guy has good feedback. and its only a few bucks. But I was wanting to buy a few other thing off the site. Has anybody bought anything of of here?

Erm,.. i thought tht was the reistor pack the ecu uses to run the fuel pump at a lower voltage when at low rpm,..

all the ecu does is just tell the injectors to fire whether low or high impedance, the harness is what determines the type of impedance not the ecu

I know, but I don't see why it cant be managed in the ecu. Why a big resistor pack?

Solenoid Resistor Package for low impedence cars, of the 86 vintage and early 87 cars. Used on all S4 cars prior to chassis number 550168.

It has two, 2 X 6 ohm resistors and is located in front of the car so it can stay cool. It draws a lot of current evidently and needs a heat sink like the aluminium cover.

It's not to be confused with the Fuel Pump Resistor Relay found just in front of the airbox on all S5 and Turbo S4 cars.

Wondering about why the ECU can't adapt for the different resistance injectors is about the same as wondering why the ECU can't adapt for someone putting a 28v battery in the car or hooking up the normal battery *** backwards. humor

Here's a picture of the unit clothed and unclothed. Pay no attention to the red words in the jpg. That was for another subject at another time. http://www.teamfc3s.org/forum/attach...&postid=360787
