Question about suspension swap?

I have an s5 gtu and the springs are a little soft for my taste. My friend has a t2 he said he will give me the springs from. So will the t2 adjustable springs work on a GTU with no modification, and also will my car already be set up with the connectors for the adjustable suspension? And last, will there even be a point to this, is the t2 adjustable suspension even any of an improvement compared to my s5?

Sorry I messed that post up. The guy has a t2 parts car but the suspension obviously comes from a GXL, the only ones with the adjustable suspension, right? Anyways, any better than mine or not?

The AAS is probaby broken/malfunctioning by now. Plus you would have to deal with all the wiring and it still probably wont be as stiff as you have now.

AAS sucks. If you've got a few bones, get the racing beat springs... they don't require shock upgrades although with the age of these cars its wise to replace your shocks now before they go or continue to get softer... I went with a very stiff setup, have not yet driven it though so I cannot comment on it, but you will probably want something adjustable like the tokico's or the KYB's. I went with Koni sports and coilovers, but if you want a comfortable ride and a sporty feel, then go with the others I suggested and the RB springs... you won't be sorry.

Yea, suspension is gonna be the next thing I do but until I can save up I was looking for something cheap lol. Oh well Ill keep my stock setup until I can get my coilovers then.

Yup... and I highly recommend ground control.. sure they aren't "true" coilovers, but let me say this: the quality is pretty good, the springs are custom tuned to your car (I had them tweak the spring rate for my 'vert), and they fit the koni's... which is a major plus. Of course, if you have the money, I've heard that the Zeal Function V6's are the only way to go (from another '7 owner who used those AND Tein's), but that will run you half again as much as Koni's + GC for a nominal improvement.

edit: misspelings suk...
