question about shift levers
ok i think im retarded. i have a s5 shift lever and **** that im going to try to put in my s4tII. dose anyone know how do this. thanks

ok cool.
problem is that my shift lever dosent have that cap thing around it, and i dont know what its called. umm how/ can i take it from my old shift lever?

sorry to bring up (and jack) an old thread, but I also do not have the cap thing. When I changed my shifter bushings, I bought a new inner boot, but the metal part wasn't on it, and mazdatrix doesn't even sell that part. My shifter had the metal cap, but the rubber boot part had been cut/ ripped off for some reason. I just put the inner boot on by itself. Should I put the inner boot on top of the metal thing?
