Question about setting up n/a to turbo

Okay guys i turboed my S5 n/a motor over the weekend maybe you can answer my questions

I used all stock T2 parts less except for the 2.5" rb downpipe

i'm also using a S4 turbo, Jdm S5 intake manifolds and a greddy emanage with the stock n/a computer, afm, map sensor

I figured i would drive around and make sure there were no leaks so i didn't put the wastegate actuator on (figured it wouldnt build boost)

So the car builds boost... anyways i find that i keep hitting a wall at 6k the car goes dead lean no matter how much I add fuel (i maxxed it out on the greddy emanage)

its reading the voltage on the Maf at .36 does it mean the maf is maxxed out?

Should i be putting a check valve inline with the map sensor could it be that?

If you don't put on the wastegate actuator, the car will build boost but won't be able to bleed it off. You're probably building way more boost than your fuel system can handle. Connect your wastegate actuator and pick up a boost gauge so you can see what you're dealing with. I wouldn't drive it how it is now, overboosting and going lean is a very bad thing.

what size injectors are you using? i hopoe your not using stokc NA injectors, or those are definitly maxxed out

to clarify your using the stock NA ecu? u know, that doenst have any timing retard for boost, which would be really risky on a s5 na motor especially.

How would it Build more boost if the stock wastegate has nothing to hold it closed Also I do have a boost gauge im building about .4 bar of boost

Im using 550s all around Im using a Greddy Emanage that has ignition control I have already retarded the timing when the car is under boost

Yeah no wastegate actuator = wide open flapper door and probably 2-4psi. With the wastegate off though I would run it on stock timing just to troubleshoot. What does the wideband read before and after it hits a wall?

I'm don't know about the MAF voltage but you don't need a check valve in your MAP line. I believe on TIIs it comes with a restrictor pill but even without it you shouldn't be experiencing the symptoms you are.

Im reading about 12-1 at 5000 14-1 at 5500 and it goes beyond the reading of the wideband at 6 and i let off

I'm thinking one of the secondaries isn't working not totally sure im going to try swapping them later

dude you need to be really careful, you are probably running way too much timing.

i am not very familair with the emanage, it uses its own pressure sensor tho right?

are you using an upgraded fuel pump? the na pump wont cut it. you probably should get a walbro or something if u dont have one allready?

You do know you are overspooling the turbo right? Why trouble shoot? R

The emanage reads the signal from the maf and modifies it it also modifies the Ignition signal as well

2slow4stock I don't understand how i'm overspooling the turbo if the wastegate is wide open
