question about rotor housings

So I opened my engine up and my rear rotor housing is a f**ed up, here are the pics. so Im pretty sure is not reusable, this is from a series 5 turboII. so my question is can I use a n/a rotor housing for my engine even if its from an series 5??

here is the only broken apex seal that probably caused the damaged.

Housing is toast. You can use an NA housing, I did. Few things to make sure of tho, there is a coolant hole for your turbo and if your ruined housing has this then you will need to drill out the NA plug and as stated above, there is an exhaust sleeve that you can grind out if you are willing to.

EDIT - What the hell is a piston doing in one of your pictures?!?!??!!!!

NO

You cannot mix S4 and S5 rotor housings on the same engine. Mazda moved the spark plug location between the two.

If you want to use an NA rotor housing of the same series you can replace the exhaust port sleeve with the turbo housings. Use a small sheet metal screw to thread into the roll pins at the side of the housing and pull the pins out with pliers.

Ok so you area saying if I get a s5 n/a housing I just have to SWAP the exhaust port sleeve with the one from my f'''ked up housing.? (no porting, just direct swap, maybe drilling for turbo coolant?)

you can swap the sleeve or do what I did. Took a carbide bit and ground out the diffuser fins in the N/A exhaust sleeve.

if youre gonna rebuild an enigne then why not get the part that will fit without modifications? Sounds like one more thing to blow an engine

Also you'll most likely need a rotor if your housing is that bad.

Post pictures of it up.

These are the 3 faces from the rotor, I bet I can still use it, its the rotor that came from this housing 100% sure, I still have't disasembled the rest of the engine.
