question about n/a drivetrain and stuff

how much power can the n/a take before it breaks? because i know its substantially weaker than the turbo drivetrain...just curious

Varies. I'd say a good 250ft-lbs of torque with a clutch drop oughta do it.

Hard to say, I'd guesstimate around 325-350ft-lb's with a hard launch, but that's only with my very limited experience with tranny's that have exploded and the cars launching them. Someone with more experience would probably do a lot better here. (this is simply experiences with the max torque an engine put out on a dyno run as compared to when they exploded a tranny on a hard launch.

I've heard that the TII drivetrains are almost unbreakable, people with 600hp apps are running on the same tranny.

We all agree that the NA drivetrain is much weaker, but I think some people still use it becuase the drivetrain/power loss is less on the NA.. anyone want to confirm or disprove this?

Its hardlaunching and/or time that kills the na drivetrain.
So you either baby it, and it will last 2 years if you've done some serious hp mods, or you launch and drop it all the time and it will last, well a short time

They're certinaly breakable, but it all varies. Too many damn variables to say for certain.
