Do GTU and GTUs come with sunroofs?

Both the GTU and GTUs models MAY have sunroofs because it is a dealer option.

 

I am just trying to figure out how to spot a GTU or GTUs without the stickers of course. WIll GTU or GTUs ever have power windows?

 

The GTUs did not have power anything, or a sunroof. There are some aftermarket sunroofs added to a few GTUs, but most w/ a sunroof are quite fake. If you find a "GTUs" w/ any power options, leather, automatic tranny...it is as real as Carmen Electra's *****.

 

So not even power steering?

Sunroof is not a freaking dealer option, who is stupid enough to cut open in and install all the stuff. You order it straight from Hiroshima

P/S is standard on all US S5 cars. GTUs got crank windows

 

This just came up and the only options on a GTUs to my suprise where A/C and sunroof

 

I've seen those "pop up" sunroofs on a GTU-S before. I think they were all aftermarket or dealer aftermarket.

 

I just bought a wrecked GTU and guess what it has? A sunroof! Now i got backup motor! yea!

 

I have an 88 GTU with a power roof!!!

 

Most of the series 4 GTU models (read 88 GTU) came with factory power roofs. But remember these were basically a GXL without CD, leather, and rear wipers, and with the heavy duty suspension from the sport/'vert/T2.

But it was an option on the factory window sticker.

I have seen a couple of series 5 GTU models with power roofs as well, even on cars without power windows and door locks.

There is rumor of a few 89 GTUs models have a factory power roof as well although I must say I have yet too see one.

 

Every S5 GTU I've ever seen had the power sunroof. GTUs' MIGHT have a flip up roof, as it was a dealer option. Power Sunroof = NOT GTUs.

 

I just bought a 89 GTU with power sunroof. So yes they do come like that. Thanks guys you are a great help.
