Exclamation Question About LW Rotors

Now, im going out on a limb here, this may sound stupid but.......... i was thinking of putting light weight rotors in my 87 NA and got to thinking, what do they actually do. What preformacne boost do i get from them? is it worth the money? if someone could enlighten me i would be very happy

thank you

Less reciprocating weight will let you rev faster and rev higher before you scrape up the internals from flexing. Hp gain at the wheels is probably small and I think this mod is only good if you use your engine at 8500 rpm+ and have the appropriate porting for that rpm range. You can get more bang for the buck elsewhere if you have a street car. That's the jist of it but I dont have solid numbers for ya.
