One and three connects to the secondaries(the ones on the lower intake manifold), and two and four connects to the primaries (the ones on the Iron housings).

So your assumptions are right!

Your Primary injectors are the ones on the intermediate housing of the engine. They sit close together.

The Secondarys are on the intake manifold and sit higher up and further apart than the primays.

Attached is a picture/schematic. Notice the wire colors for the injectors. Match your car to those.

Now, in the middle of 87 they did away with the thing called a Solenoid Resistor, shown in the schematic.

So here is the trick if there is a trick to this. Just pay attention that the :

REAR SECONDARY: Gets a plug that has a LIght green wire with a Red stripe.

REAR PRIMARY: Gets a plug that has a Light green wire with a Black stripe.

FRONT SECONDARY: Gets a plug that has a Light green wire with a White stripe

FRONT PRIMARY: Gets a plug that has a plain Light green wire with NO stripe.

Each plug has two wires, just make sure that the above plugs have one wire that is the color of the above description.
