Question about ignition.

I had a question about ignition timing. I know you adjust the CAS to line up to yellow mark but is there a timing you mode you have to set it in? In my Miata thats what I had to do. I guess what I'm asking is what is the step NY step in doing this? Or can someone give me link of thread that will help me. Thanks.

the FSM in the FAQ has the answer,
It's in Chapter 5 at the very end it shows you what to do with the CAS.

follow the link info..it doesn't matter if it is s4 or s5..they both still use the same timimg marks on the Pulley and the dimple on the CAS.

that link is dead to me ..

for the OP.. warm it up , drop idle below 1200 ( might be 1000 ) and bridge the set couple

oh,, and PS a good inductive timing light needs to be placed on l2 wire
on stock coils it fires same time as l1 but the timing light pickup can "see" it , unlike the l1 wire
( unless you flip your light pickup upside down )

this is a quirk of some dual coils
