question about engines

ok my friend has a turbo 91 rx7 and it has next to nothing in the bay except the intercooler and a couple other things. I can get a not turbo car that runs and a extra engine for $1500 will they fit into his turbo rx7 or not. As far as the turbo can i put one on the nonturbo engine. Just tossin around a few ideas

buy a used jspec for 1000$ and theres your motor right there! use the search option or faq that can answer your question much better! A turbo engine is built low compression for a turbo if you stick a turbo on a n/a motor that would be a lot more stress due to the higher compression ratio

It sounds like a good candidate for a J-spec to me also.

Is emissions testing an issue where you are?

I saw a turbo & tranny J-spec on e-bay last week for $1200.
