Question about electrical piece.
Well, I replaced my battery wires, and in the process a couple of wires broke. Most of them I could repair, but there was one that was connected to the clutch slave cylinder. It is a little black box with 0.47/250 and below that, R17G. The black box used to have a wire coming out the back and bolted onto the clutch slave cylinder bolt.
Can I just replace this with a terminal connection? Is it just a ground? I check the resistance on it, and it showed open connection. Thanks!

Alright. Turns out, after some digging, that this black box is a condenser.
So, do I have to buy one new from the dealer, or is there a generic part I can use?
I don't think I can salvage this one, the wire broke right at the condenser.
I would like to try and keep everything working....
Thanks!

Sorry. I don't usually re-read it before every post. I have read it quite a few times, i just don't remember seeing it. Thanks.
Edit: Ok, yea, same thing I saw before. It states that it is a capacitor. Do I need to order a new one from the dealer, or is there an aftermarket piece that I can get from an auto parts store? The capacitance looks like it is 470 nF. I don't know if a normal capacitor will handle the heat of the engine. But maybe I can rig something up. Unless there is another alternative. Thanks.
