question about electric fan (I tried to search)
It seems like I have seem some people use fiero electric fans is this a worthy fan for the job? If it is not then what would be a good e-fan for my 89T2
I tried to search but each time it never even finished the search.
Thanks,
Josh

just curious how well would the fan from a markVIII work?
understand it is a heavy heavy duty fan something like 4000+cfm I think
would need a FD alt though to run it
know it is overkill but anyone know about it?

I have a Fiero fan mounted inside the stock shroud. Looks very nice and clean. Grabbed an adjustable thermostat for like $20 from Advance Auto and the fan from the junkyard.
After getting my Autometer gauges wired up this past weekend, I was able to tune the thermostat in to kick on and cool down around 195-200F and turn off at 180.
The fan only took a minute or two to lower the temp once on....so I think it does a good job.

my buddy has had a fiero fan in his car less than a month and the motor started to go and kept popping fuses...back to clutch fan until he gets a black magic later. not worth the chance that the used oem 10-15 yr old fan will die and overheat your car in my opinion.

Aaron, thanks for the study session! I guess my thoughts were kinda blurred and now I see that I may not need an Efan or even want one for that matter. As far as the installation goes that would not be a problem I have a very good understanding of electronics and wiring although I appreciate the link to the proper efan install. I would how ever like to clean up that engine bay a bit but I am hesitant to do so now. I guess I might just deal with the larger stock fan. I will probably just spend the extra money on a new Koyo Radiator hopefully this will work with the stock fan
