Question about an 8' turbo II

Hi guys I am new to the rx7 forum and this car will hopefully be my first rotary. I am trying to get this turbo II 87' fc, and it is down in st. louis so a good 4 hours away from from me. Now the clutch on the car is bad, but the guy told me I can still drive it if the car warms up nice I will just have to move the clutch back up with my left foot. The motor and everything else is very good this car was babied. With your opinion would you recommend me towing it or simply driving it back? Do you think this car would make it back a four hour trip but mostly highway so I'll be in fifth gear most of the time.

I'd get a new clutch MC, new slave and new hose and just replace the whole clutch hydraulic system on the spot.
It's all accessible from the top of the engine ( no jacking required) and the footwell and takes about an hour to do.
That way you wouldn't have to worry about it on the trip home.

Parts are available from Mazdatrix.

Instructions from the Factory Service Manual.
