Question About a 1/4 Mile Time I Heard For a N/A.
I overheard a friend talking to someone in the store the other day, and this person was telling him that a 1987 N/A RX-7 with intake, throttle body mod, header, presilencer (no cats) and an Apex N1 single could run a high 14. I didn't think that this sounded right, because I thought the car would be a little bit slower than that, but what do you guys think?? Is it possible??

VERY possible
i had a black 1986 N/A that ran a 14.4 with me, 220lbs, my buddy, 160lbs, my tools 50lbs, my spare 25lbs, and 3/4 tank of gas, run a 14.4, i had, Intake, Modded TB, removed A/C, P/S, BACV, working 6 ports, stripped interior, pace setter header, and a 2.5" pipe from the header to the rear of my car, no mufflers or silencers, his high 14 is very possible, maybe 14.7-14.8.

Wow, I didn't think that it could be that quick with those little mods...hmmmm...now I have more hope for my car also, I was expecting to hit mid 15s with a Mindtrain header, mindtrain silencer, custom 2.5 cat back pipe, wired 5/6 ports, and the throttle body mod...
Thanks guys!!

I'm slow!!!
US 131 Speedway two summers ago -
15.8@88.3 without NOS system, just got that.
There was a GTUs I think he told me it was '87, with times of 15.1@89mph he had no mods.
we both had three run
I had a MD Racing Fuel Computer Chip in my car at the time as well, but was recommended I take it out when I installed the NOS system.

Gimpdiggity why not just get your 5/6 ports working properly and get some inserts from pineapple racing for like $50. IMO that would be better than just wiring them open because you still get some amount of low end torque.

Ok so I'm looking at 5 different sheets with 2ng generation stck specs. For a 1987 TURBOII they range from 6.1 to 7.0sec 0-60. Quarter mile times of 14.9@93.0 to 16.0@87.5mph. I could'nt tell which one is right. And no one but a guy running a stock '87 TII in an actual quarter mile would either.
Has ANYONE here ran there cars at a dragstrip? or just flags up poles?
BS
info from rx7.org, Mazdaperformance.uk, rx7.com, mrmazda.net cant remember the other.
