Question

I just have a question, I have an 86 FC RX7 N/A
and on the idiot cluster the clock doesnt work and the ebrake symbol does not work, it was just working and then it stopped everything else works but just not the clock and when the ebrake is on the symbol does not light up???
so im just wondering wut i can do to fix this and where to look

common problem check your bulbs first but the idiot clusters are known to go out fairly commonly

the bulbs in the cluster??
how do you remove the cluster to check??and like it was just working and i was setting the clock and it just stopped...

pop off the suround be careful very brittle you might be able to see some slots the n there are two screws holding the cluster lemme get back to you after this i have to look at mine

yea i just went out and the ebrake light is now working.. but clock is still not working...

Probably cold solder points. There is a write-up somewhere, let me try to find it...

Can't find it, but if I recall correctly, you just resolder the pins on the connector going into the cluster. I did it to mine and it fixed it. It's a common thing so I hope someone else chimes in with the write-up.

And also another Question my sunroof when you go to open it you hear the motor goin and it only pops up like a few cm's and wont go anymore so i was just wondering how you can access it and see if it is off the track or something..??

there is a round plug on your headliner a few inches back pop that and there is an allen head? or torx head bolt there. this is your manual drive for the roof turn it afew times if it moves your motor or tracks may be dead or dirty if no movement might be off track or broken (chain?)
