question

i want to listen to music while the engine is off, but i keep hearing the beep beep beep noise telling me that the key is still inside. this normally happens only wen the key is at ac. right turned the key all the way to the left so the only working function is my deck. in the other cars, it shouldnt make the beeping noise, iono if its only my car or if thats how fcs are built. cuz sometimes im waiting for someone in my car and i wanna listen to music, but i hafta endure the beeping noise with the music. i hav a 89 gtu-s btw.

It's beeping because the key is in and the door is open. Close the door.

On my old honda i had a switch wired in that you could have just power to your stereo even if the key wasnt in... I dont recomend this how ever cuz i was a dumb highschool kid that thought it was cool to listen to the stereo all loud while me and my buddy hung out.
Not hard to do though

So your saying that when the door is closed it still beeps? If so then it might be the switch in your door jam. It is a plunger like thing that says when the door is closed. Take it out check it maybe lube it or something. I just reattached mine, which the previous owner had just cut the wires running to them.

This isn't the best thing to do, because the radio still draws power even when it's not on.

there's a button when your door closes, it turns off the beeping. It looks like a niipple. you can try disabling that.
