its really shouldnt be that different if you maintain both properly. The turbo2 obviously has more stressed moving parts that the NA so there may be a higher chance for failure but like i said, if you maintain both properly i dont see why yopur turbo will be as reliable as an NA car.

One thing about the turbo that people commonly overlook is cool down time. You don't nessecarily need a turbo timer, just let the car idle for a minute or two if you have been riding the boost hard. This will let your turbo live a longer, healthier life.

Allows you to turn off the switch, pull your keys out, lock the door and walk away while the car idles and flows oil around the turbo to cool it down for however long you set it then it turns the car off. Keeps the turbo blades/fins/whatever from becoming warped after you've run it hard. It happens by turning the car off while everything is still hot as hell. Ever see a turbo glow in the dark?

however you dont necessarily need a turbo timer for a fc, because the turbo is water cooled. So my way of letting it cool down is taking it easy on the car for the last couple minutes of driving.
