Puzzling electrical issue please help if anyone had this problem before!

Okay Here is the breakdown. My car had previous ABS/emission stuff. I removed the abs sensors, abs unit inside the engine, the rats nest.

Now i relocated my battery with a 4 gauge wire from the engine bay to the rear cargo bin. I have another 4 gauge negative grounded from the battery. Now here is the puzzling part.

Everytime i turn the the ignition to the on power position my Meter 10A fuse blows out. I rechecked the wires and there is no open in any wires. Is there a voltage or AMP difference with a high performance battery & thicker gauge?
Would the short be the cluster instrument? I cant seem to read my rpm, fuel, boost, volt.
The horn/stock cooling fan are not connected. a/c blower heater core all removed. ABS unit still in tact in the passenger compartment next to the ECU.

Any suggestions? Should i just run individual gauges?

Are you sure you hooked up the battery correctly?

Did you do any tranny work (including anything with the clutch) recently?

Probably either have the battery in backwards or have the reverse light switch wires broken or shorted (as they use the meter fuse for power).

i looked and check under the car it looks fine- when i try to bypass the 10a fuse the only thing that moved was the boost gauge hmm but i dont have any emission on it , its all removed. is there a schematic stating where all the grounding are located?

You are barking up the wrong tree.

#1 bypass the fuse???? You don't bypass fuses.

#2 If you did clutch work and dropped the tranny, I would bet $100 that you have either plugged the reverse light switch wires in wrong or have pinched or ripped wires. Climb under the car, disconnect the over the top switch, and reverse switch and check and see if you still blow fuses.

#3 grounds have NOTHING to do with it. wait... lets repeat that... grounds have NOTHING to do with it. The fuse is blowing because one of the power leads on the Meter fuse circuit is touching ground. Grounds never ever ever ever ever have anything to do with blowing fuses. The fuses are on the power leads... if the fuse is blowing, it is because the power is going directly to ground... therefore all the grounds are good.

I'm pretty sure if you added a four gauge GROUND wire to the mirror, your problem would go south. humor
