Putting TII tranny in a 91 n/a

Uhm, I was just double checking on what all I need. I have the tranny (obviously), the aftermarket driveshaft from mazdatrix that mates up to the n/a rear end, and I'm getting the turbo II clutch slave cylinder. Is there anything else I need ?

you will need an S5 TII flywheel, and TII clutch. Also a TII starter. Then you already have the tranny and driveshaft. Thats it.

Will he not also need a S5 Automatic Counterweight. You can order the counterwieght with your flywheel through Racing Beat.

The order should be...

91 NA Engine -> S5 Auto Counterweight -> TII Flywheel -> TII clutch -> S4 TII Tranny

I searched for "drivetrain" and found this,

Hey WTF, thats my thread!!!

WRONG!!!!

Do us all a favor and make sure that you do NOT post on a topic you are not certain about. The Stock n/a and TII flywheels all have a BUILT-IN counterweight. Therfore, he will NOT need a counterweight for the install as long as he is using a stock weight N/A or TII flywheel.

A seperate counterweight is needed only for automatics and light-weight aftermarket flywheels.

I'm doing this right now. What you are missing out of this list is a new pressure plate. I picked up the 12.5lb ACT flywheel (TII) with a auto counterweight, TII clutch from RB, TII starter, TII Transimission, and I was getting it all together and found out I needed a new TII pressure plate.

Mason... the clutch has to match the flywheel... you bought the TII club so you need the TII pressure plate, that doesn't mean a TII pressure plate is required for the swap, it means a TII pressure plate is required for ue with a TII clutch... which should be pretty obvious.

I don't get where people get these lists of "required" items to swap.. this **** isn't hard... if it's a manual to manual swap it's plug and play minus the driveshaft.
