At a minimum, you would need the TII LSD, TII halfshafts, and a special driveshaft 2691-799R from Mazdatrix. The driveshaft is a little over $300, and the other parts you can buy used for whatever price you can negotiate. At a maximum, you could swap an entire TII drivetrain.

Personally, I see no point in putting an LSD in a convertible, but that's just me. I do have KYB AGX dampers and Racing Beat springs on my convertible, and I think that these items are well worth it if the original parts need to be replaced.

You'll need the axle halfs too. Here is a link to Rotary Resurrections list of drive train differences.

Rotary Resurrection home of the budget rebuild.

Good luck.

I just wanted to add it would need to be from a S4 GTU or GXL. S5 GTU or GXL was not a LSD.

Thank you for posting that link. I thought Mazdatrix was the go to web site for technical information like that. Good to know I have an alternative.
