Putting a cold air intake in an NA RX-7?

Is it just me?
The stock air intake isn't affected by heat because the intake snorkel for air is in front...and the Box itself is totally enclosed so the filter is nowhere near the engine.
In essence it is already a cold air intake!

I bought the custom setup off JohnV race car and really like how it works on the street. It would work even better if I were ever to install the CorkSport header and get her dyno tuned

Yo, could you tell me exactly what you have on that intake set-up? Thats the cleanest intake for a NA I've seen and I wanna make my own.
All I need to know is where you got that metal pipe, what you are using for a mass flow sensor, and what that second little filter is attached to. Any additional info would be nice if you think I need it. I already have the cone filter, and the stock intake.
If they are designed right they work great on NA. Mine is ducted from the front grill. Sealled in the engine bay( i know the top in the pics has louvers but i do have a flat one also). And there is a noticable differance in the way it pulls.

that is mint. i woulda had a solid bottom plate tho, why is yours welded together?
