push button starty

did a search on this matter already. just curious. i bought the start button kit for 30 bucks at autozone last night. comes with a relay and all the wires with instructions. is it ok to use those directions on our cars? basically tells me to use the 3 wires aready there and splice into them. gives a detailed pictures. tell you to use the 12 v wire and starter wire and so on .

jsut wanted to make sure it save to follow those directions. hope everything goes well with the install.

yea i saw that but no one talked of the this kit. everyone gave their own version of how to install it. i basically just wanted to make sure if i follow the instructions provided that it would work. thats the last thing i need right now , that i do something wrong and i dont have my vehicle.

I love the look of the push start, i really do...but what advantages does it have, it's not like a remote start to warm up your car in the winter...

or can you use it as a safety feature by hiding the push start button, so that the car can only be started by people who know where to look???

its best to have a fuel cutoff switch. Saved me from a theft. But yes I like the look of the push button.

I'd love to get remote start, if I didn't habitually put my car in 1st to make sure it didn't roll away. AND if the TB mod didn't make me have to feather the pedal to keep the car alive until it was warm (Oh spring, please come back before I blow my engine up)

On a roadcourse when you secured tightly in your 5 point harness w/ gloves on you may not easily be able to reach/manipulate the key (if you still have the ignition switch even) to start the car if you stall it out in a spin so the button is faster. Remember though, spin=clutch in
