Pulling motor, or Motor and Transmission?
Which is easier?
I'm trying to take the starter off but one of the bolts is seized in there..
What extra is involved in removing the trans and the motor instead of just pulling the motor?
(my grinder doesn't work either)
any tips appreciated

-Drain tranny
-Put plywood on the ground so tranny doesn't grind on floor
-Remove shifter (3 10mm Bolts) from tranny (I did this for more room don't know if it's needed)
-Remove drive shaft
-Remove tranny brace and you're ready to go just make sure there are no wires connected from body to motor or tranny.

IMO, having done this many MANY times, its a lot easier to pull the motor AND the tranny all toghether. When taking it out, theres not a big difference in time, but when you are putting it back in, its so much easier to put it in with the tranny already on.

yes take the tranny and engine out, the next time im doing my ******* clutch im pulling my motor+ tranny and working it off a bench, its so much easier.
which reminds me i have to never seize all my bolts.. haha kinda forgot about doing that...

Thanks so much, I pulled the motor yesterday with the tranny it was soooo much easier than I thought, seriously the tranny is only really held on by 1 17mm bolt! (but it took of the tranny crossmember too)
